The Process Done By Your Reno Chiropractors
Our Chiropractors in the Reno area can use several different techniques to relieve your back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, migraine headaches, sciatica and/or any other related tension/pain – by utilizing specific spinal manipulation of the vertebrae and joints. We have in-house X-ray capabilities, but may order an MRI if necessary, and we even offer Reno chiropractic services for children! Our philosophy does not include prescribing our patients any medications. Instead, our team of doctors recommend such things as therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, and nutritional and lifestyle counseling to help your body heal itself!
Our Chiropractors at Integrated Spinal Solutions believe that one of the primary causes of back or neck pain develops when your vertebrae become fixated. Treating this can help to alleviate pain associated with a myriad of conditions, including, headaches, sciatica, traumas like whiplash, scoliosis, leg pain, sports injuries, bursitis, tendonitis, fibromyalgia and spinal arthritis.
What to Expect
Each person is different, and thus, the injuries he/she receives heal at their own rates. Generally, a person with a lower back injury, or someone who has had a history of lower back pain can expect to come in one to three times a week for a series of treatments. We schedule treatments in two-week blocks and assess them at the end of the assigned period. So long as the results remain positive, we continue until the time you reach maximum improvement, else it becomes clear that the treatments are not working. In the few cases where we are unable to achieve our goals, we will refer you to the appropriate specialist.
Your Diagnosis and Treatment Plan
Your Chiropractor will diagnose the problem and recommend a short clinical trial. No one can be certain that a treatment will be successful but if it is going to help, we should see positive results within the first two weeks of the same. That's why we always limit treatment to short trials and set outcome goals to measure success. Our chiropractors may also recommend certain types of exercises in conjunction with the treatment, to help you stretch and/or strengthen your back and neck.
