Lumbar Spinal Decompression

Do You Have Relentless Back Pain?

A non-stop (never ending) pain in your back? We can help. If you wake up in pain, walk around all day in pain, living on pain meds, please, give us a chance to help you with a revolutionary new treatment: non-surgical spinal decompression.
Lumbar Spinal Decompression is a restorative technique specifically designed to relieve pressure, and restore mobility within the spine. When there is scar tissue, herniated or bulged discs it can result in arthritic changes overe time and eventually nerve impingement can occur, resulting in discomfort and pain that can be experienced throughout the body, not only in the back. Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression is an extremely effective treatment protocol that safely and painlessly restores the spine’s natural alignment and eliminates excessive pressure on the nerves, which is the root cause of many who suffer from back pain.
Lumbar Spinal Decompression involves stretching the spine, using a computer controlled, motorized, "traction" table, with the goal of relieving back pain and/or leg pain. This procedure is called Non-surgical Spinal Decompression. This is especially beneficial in the treatment of bulging disc of the lumbar spine. During decompression, the patient is fitted with a specially designed harness system that works with the decompression device to reduce pressure on damaged discs, and and joints, by gently distracting adjacent vertebrae.  By adjusting the angle of distraction, placement of the harness and weight setting specific discs can be targeted.

What To Expect

Each person is different, and thus, the injuries he/she receives heal at their own rates. Generally, a person with a lower back injury, or someone who has had a history of lower back pain can expect to come in one to three times a week for a series of treatments. We schedule treatments in two-week blocks and assess them at the end of the assigned period. So long as the results remain positive, we continue until the time you reach maximum improvement, else it becomes clear that the treatments are not working. In the few cases where we are unable to achieve our goals, we will refer you to the appropriate specialist.

When Can I Expect Results?

Long-term results can be achieved with a handful of sessions, but the specific number of treatments will depend on the acute or chronic nature of the injury, and the extent of damage or degeneration that is already present. However, the majority of our patients report improvement within the first two weeks of care.
