Dr. Nicolas Riley

Dr. Daniel Welch

Dr. Riley Graduated from Western States Chiropractic College as Valedictorian. Before Chiropractic College, he studied Zoology at BYU until he found his passion was working on the spine in Human Anatomy courses while obtaining his Bachelor’s degrees in Human Biology.

Nick is working at both offices and takes pride in showing patients pain relieving postures and stretches to help them get relief at home in between treatments. He is honored to provide conservative treatments in a culture that often elects invasive treatments prematurely.

Dr. Riley enjoys cases involving the extremities. The spine is fascinating all by itself, but during intensive training in bio mechanics classes Dr Riley found that hips and shoulders were also problematic areas that chiropractic care could help.

Regardless of whether it is a traumatic shoulder problem or a result of years of overuse,Dr. Riley enjoys helping patients increase their range of motion and decrease their symptoms. Sadly, many patients reach for Ibuprofen and Tylenol to calm the pains when they should be pausing to find the cause of the pain and address it before it progresses. Many times arm pain and neck pain can overlap and share pain patterns. This is where a skilled chiropractor provides a valuable service by treating the spine and the arm together to decrease symptoms faster without the medication risks involved.

Hip pain and low back pain can be difficult for patients to separate. Several orthopedic tests can be performed to distinguish which is the actual pain generating area. Dr. Riley recently had a patient who had a low back spinal fusion surgery only to learn that his real problem was a hip muscle imbalance all along. He likes to help patients make informed decisions by taking time to educate and clarify the meanings of the treatment options. Dr. Riley is honored to serve as a conservative healthcare provider in an age where people often prematurely choose drug injections and surgery as their first choice for remedy when time-honored conservative care could have saved them money and needless risk.

"Patients are often surprised when I examine and treat the joints of the arms and legs. I tell them that Chiropractors do much more than just the common neck and back pain correction that we are well known for."

His little family recently moved from Portland, Oregon. They love the sunshine and outdoor recreation available in Reno and are excited to be a part of the community.
